Preparing for SCEA5

I’m going to take the test of the Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5 (310-052). I think a good way to start my preparations is to gather a couple of high quality online resources.

Java X Cross is a weblog I discovered a couple of days ago. The author, Cross, shares his experience in preparing and finally taking the test. I his first article, he briefly explains the three parts of which the whole certification consists. If you take a closer look at all the comments on his articles, you will see that a lot of lively discussions have emerged between Cross and his readers. I think Cross’s blog is a good read and would recommend it to everyone who is beginning to practise for the exam.

There is a Google Group on SCEA5 preparation. Here you will find a discussion-board where you can get in touch with other people who are preparing for the exam.

Mikalai Zaikin has written a quite comprehensive SCEA 5 Study Guide.

And finally, the Java Ranch has a forum covering the SCEA exam. My problem with this one, as with any other web-forum, is contains a lot of information in a very unclear and confusing way. Nevertheless, I think it’s worth a look.
